The D + J Lettings Conference was a huge success as more landlords and buy-to-let investors arrived than registered! They left informed and up-to-date with what is happening in the lettings market and in Hitchin for renting properties.

Key industry speakers from ARLA Propertymark and Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) spoke about the latest legislation, Right to Rent requirements and best practice for property protection.

Local speakers from Base52, Newman Knight & Co and D + J Lettings advised about a range of key subjects including recent tax changes and the implications for landlords, followed by talks on mortgage lenders, what they are doing and how to improve the landlord’s position for the best mortgage deals, closing with the last presentation on the local market and how to invest and manage a portfolio of properties effectively.

The conference ended with a lively Q + A session and a toast to Dharmesh and Jyoti Patadia for their 10 years in Hitchin, managing a successful lettings agency.
